My wife and I loved it. This is a two mile hike over some rocks and a little bit of climbing, if you want to go to the top of the Toadstool. If it's hot bring two bottles of water. We had one each and...More

During our first ever visit to Utah, we continued to stumble upon the most astonishingly beautiful geography we've ever seen. I'd always thought Colorado was the most beautiful state in the country! We'd just driven through Capital Reef National Park and continued south on Hwy...More

Taking Hwy 12 west from Bryce to Torrey was the best decision we ever made. It's a beautiful and relaxing drive-the condition of the road is excellent. The scenery is gorgeous. Lots of hiking opportunities.

Parking is free, no entrance fees. A National Monument since 1996 but a remarkable treasure. Not for the faint-hearted but totally inspiring. None of the facilities of a National Park but if you like some peace this is the place to visit. It is huge,...More

After the crowds of Arches NP, we certainly welcomed the more relaxed pace of this place. There are many choices for activities; you can hike on your own, you can sign up for a tour, you can just drive through it on Scenic Byway 12...More

This was the hike my 8 year old said was his favorite of the entire two week park trip. It's a super easy hike for moderately fit people. We saw a lot of unfit people or those who rely on canes quickly abandon the hike...More

Hello! The actual top step of the Grand Staircase is at Bryce and the monument is 1.9 million acres, so it surrounds Bryce. I think you might be asking where the closest access with a Visitor Center is? That would be 20... More
