Beautiful lake. We rented a tritoon boat & tube from highport marina during the week. The boat and service were excellent. We had the lake to ourselves. There are islands with sandy shores in the middle of the lake, and rocky cliffs lining the shores along the Texas side. This was our 4th time visiting Texoma. We’ve had a day at the islandview beach, rented a wave runner, and gone hiking on other trips up there. It’s a nice day trip from the dfw area to relax and enjoy nature any time of the year.

I am an Odyssey member of thousand trails and travel extensively. I have stayed at Lake Texoma's campground numerous times and have always been completely satisfied. I made a reservation in November of 2019 for a cabin using my membership. Friday the 14th I was supposed to check in and found that the person who made my reservation at thousand trails main office also cancelled my reservation 5 minutes after she made it. I waited 3 months only to find I had no reservation. Because thousand trails now requires all business transaction to go through their central office, I was unable to rebook my cabin. I called the main number three different times and was put on hold for a total of 3.5 hours. I also left 2 messages for a call back. I was never contacted. Instead I went to the Texoma’s local bsns office and told them what had happened. They originally told me that they did not have permission to help me but after 3.5 hours they booked my cabin for the week I originally booked and I moved in. My childhood girlfriend was arriving in Dallas the next day from Kuwait. I did not want to tell her that we had no place to stay. Fortunately for the extreme efficiency and kindness of the local Texoma staff we are now happily staying at the park. Thank you girls you are truly wonderful and appreciated!

I have been to many lakes in my time, but I gotta say it..... LAKE TEXOMA IS HUGE! Very spacious, clean, and beautiful. Many cabins, camping grounds, and hotels in the surrounding towns. In Oklahoma it is a well know fishing mecca, but don't just take my word for it, come see for yourself.

Grew up in the area, Lake Texoma is great because there’s so much to do. There are great hiking trails, several islands with clean beaches, good fishing and camping spots.

What a great little get away. The sunset and sunrise views from the kasita are phenomenal to say the least. This is a perfect romantic setting when you have the resort to yourself. Enjoy a stay and a nice evening fire you wont be disappointed!

While you might get a million dollar view pitch right on the water the bathrooms at this site were unusable, unsanitary, disgusting. Literally a tin can behind a S-shaped metal wall - no door. The shower block again unsanitary, so dirty, filth all over, a layer of dead bugs on the floor. If we had of been tent camping we would not have been able to stay 1 night. We were fortunate to have an RV and used our own bathroom. And even though their website said they had paddle board & kayaks to rent - they did not. There was garbage all over our pitch - including a used sewer black water hose. We will not be back here.

A toward the lake today and everywhere I noticed chunks upon chunks upon chunks of styrofoam lining the shores. These pieces range from larger than ice chests to marble-sized. I can't imagine all this is still leftover from the flood but it just looks terrible. It was nice to see the improvements that have been made since the last flood of the lake. Hopefully we can continue to get better.

Drove over the lake tonight at sunset and it was really lovely! We were driving on 377 and there was not much development around the lake. Look forward to coming back and getting in the lake!

We stayed at Mills Creek Resort & Marina and really enjoyed it. Penni, the office rep was so friendly and accommodating. The cabins down by the lake were more like log cabin homes with all the accommodations of home, other than no pets allowed inside. The cabins are a little outdated, but clean with a microwave and small fridge and they are pet friendly. Wonderful place to walk and feel safe. The resort has 24 hr. security that has constant visibility within the resort. You can rent golf carts to use throughout the resort property, rent boat slips, restaurant and marina onsite. Just note that most of the lake requires a Lake Texoma fishing permit, which can be purchased at Walmart or online for $12.
