This is a great bike path for anyone in reasonable shape. There are no big hills, nothing that will require anything more than a moderate level of riding. The path goes through many towns from Providence to Bristol, passing through wooded areas and by the water. There are a couple of wooden bridges where locals can be seen fishing. It... More

This is a great bike path for families. Views are beautiful and there are few road crossings (at least on the southern portion we saw.) One warning: this path is fairly narrow and is used by families with strollers, little kids on bikes, pedestrians of all ages and some high speed serious cyclists. I'm not sure all these uses are... Went here with my kids on a Sunday. Started in Bristol near Independence Park. It was easy to find parking, even on a Sunday. Beautiful views of the water and plenty of places to pull off to take a break. places to buy lemonade, fresh fruit, even a bike shop if you're having issues with your bike. For the most... More

Biked from East Providence to Bristol and back, detouring to the pretty trails in Colt State Park along the way. While the East Bay Bike Path itself is very pleasant and pretty most of the way, the inclusion of Colt State Park's trails offers up even more spectacular waterfront vistas. Some other details: - Because the winds were forecasted to... More

This is the third time we have biked this path but the first time we started at the north end and rode to Bristol. This was great because there are many places for lunch in Bristol and it offered a good break before the return ride. The path is well maintained and heavily used. Bring water in the summer. There... Heard great things about this RI bike path - great for our family of five! four of us biked, one bladed, and everyone enjoyed the scenery, and very flat path! Gem of a find in RI. Will definitely be back this summer.

We picked it up in east prov and ride 5 miles each way . Mostly flat and very scenic . At the 5 mile mark there are rest rooms . If you go into Bristol there is Quitos restaurant which is very busy on weekends . Very safe and clean

This place is awesome. I started from India point park and then concluded my journey at Cold State Park. One way trip turns out to be around 15 miles. Total turned out to be 29-30 miles. You can see people fishing at some points , take snaps of scenic views. Overall you can enjoy the bike path with many parks... More

We went with our 12 and 16 year old sons. They both managed to ride the entire distance - by far the longest ride we've ever done at one time. As the literature says, this is a very flat trail, very well maintained, and really lovely. It stretches along the Providence River waterfront to Bristol and Narragansett Bay. For families... More

Beautiful bike trail along waterfront. Well-maintained and good distance. A few frost heaves but well worth the ride.
