Parking can be difficult to find and the hike is long and strenuous. But this was one of the highlights of our trip to Portland and we'd love to go back again.

Grab a map for the drive through the gorge and you will not be disappointed. The two main attractions are Multnomah Falls, and Oneonta Gorge to Oneonta Falls. The natural setting of both are stunning, but in high summer, be ready for the crowds. For ideal photo opportunities, I would recommend visiting (if possible) during the late afternoon or early... Just a short drive from Portland you'll find a huge amount of trails and waterfalls to explore for the day. This area can get crowded in the high season but there are so many trails I'm sure you can escape the crowds.

The falls are the #2 attraction in Oregon. It is crowded with visitors. The falls are very scenic and there is a gift shop and restaurant at street level. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the walk up to the bridge. It is a must have KODAK moment. The scenery on the drive up the... More

Over the past 20 years,I've taken nearly every one of my visitors for a ride or a hike or hikes in the Gorge. I've gone for hikes with local friends and yes, I keep going back. It is a beautiful area if you love waterfalls. Go and go again.

One of the most beauty full spots between the state of Oregon and Washington state. Personally, preferred the Oregon State side of the border.

We recently moved from Bowling Green KY to the PNW and our new home is only 20 minutes from the gorge. So needless to say we spend a lot of time here and every single time we drive into the gorge it looks different and is so beautiful, no matter what time of day, no matter what season and no... More

Even on a rainy day, it was still great to see the waterfalls, and walk up to places along the trail to get better views. Be ready for plenty of other tourists at the most photogenic spots, but continue on and come back when it's not so crowded. Lots of good views from many places and it doesn't take too... More

Breathtaking! Flies to the road! Can see falls from the interstate but get off and go on Historic 30. Stop and go hiking at any of the falls there are SO many! We spent the entire day driving, hiking, exploring, repeat. If you are a National Park geek like us you can also secure a few new park stamps!!!
