One of the few undeveloped barrier island covering 3,000 acres. Activities include fishing, swimming, sunbathing and surfing. The state's largest osprey colony, as well as peregrine falcons, wading birds, shorebirds, waterfowl and migrating songbirds, are found here.

The beach is clean. Has bath houses and a restaurant. Beach opens at 8am. Get there early for best sitting location. $12 for out of state vehicles, but worth it.

Natural, unspoiled beach. We visited on a showery, cool day so we didnt swim. The water was cold. Plenty of lifeguards. Restroom, shower, & changing facilities available as well as a concession stand.

cost weekdays $8 dollars a car---$10 on weekends--nj residents only---$20 for out of state cars------if you get a west wind the greenhead flies will appear----it can get ugly-all and all a nice place---they have restrooms, showers and hiking
