This park has varied terrains and well maintained trails, walkways and stairs. I spent two different days in rain and in shine exploring the park. It totally embodies the North Shore with waterfalls, dramatic points to hike to the end of and the remarkable heights...More

Hidden away on the north shore of Lake Superior, this park has everything you could want and more. Great campgrounds for tents and RV’s. The views are spectacular! The hiking is diverse. Make your reservations early. It may be hidden, but people know about it...More

Highly recommend the short hike to Shovel Point. Easy access to trail right behind the visitor center. Great views. We also saw a peregrine falcon. Great place to photograph as well.

Loved our visit here! We hiked around the park, campground and checked out the Visitor Center. Everything was very well maintained and the trails were well marked. Beautiful scenery. Can't wait to return!

There are miles and miles of trails with great views of waterfalls here. Very scenic. Lots of roads as well so the hikes are not terribly long. Mostly easy walking but there are lots of steps which might be difficult for elderly. Some great cliffs...More

We enjoyed hiking to the high falls here and then on to the "swinging bridge" a little up river. It was a hot day and lots of people were swimming. The camping area is very nice -- not as rustic as Gooseberry -- but very...More

Tettegouche has some great hiking trails but I'd recommend the Baptism river trail. We were there on a rare hot day and the river made a refreshing swimming hole for the kids. There are a lot of steps down to the pebble beach area and...More

No, it is not easy. If you go in, planning to stay in until your stay is over might be best for young children. If they are old enough to hike a bit that will help, but carrying them may be hard up and down the hills.
