If you live near by I highly suggest making a weekend trip to this place. Toll is $4 but other than that, the view while driving on the bridge is simply amazing. Go on a nice sunny day. If possible visit the Trepan Nature Park, there is a secret beach not many people visit and the view from that spot... More

We often travel to this area for a quick overnight stay that is on the water without having to drive 5 hours to the beach. We normally stay at one of the local hotels that are within walking distance to great food and great entertainment. One of our date night favs.

We visited for a weekend getaway from the snow of Pa. We were looking at a boat to buy and were pleasantly surprised how nice and helpful people were here. Really everyone we ran into was friendly, it makes a difference and you quickly pick up a vibe of a place. We enjoyed the pretty scenery and even saw a... More

I have lived near Kent Island most of my life and never knew there was so much to see. Yesterday we went to the James E Kirwan Museum in Chester Md on Dominion Rd. It was like stepping back into my grandparents farm. The tour itself took only about 20 minutes which was great for kids. There was a ton... More

We stayed near the Cloverfields Marina and went to the beach there. The bike/walking trail that goes the length of the island is lovely, as is the park at the end of the island near the Narrows Bridge. Lots of places to relax and enjoy the flora and fauna, plus fine dining (Bridges, Hemingway's) and more casual dining options.

We have made many trips to this beautiful island and my family and I enjoy it every time. We spent the Memorial day holiday at the HGI and had dinner at the Bridges restaurant. We stopped off at Metapeake beach and cooled off at hotels pool. Can't wait to come back!

We were in Kent Island for a wedding. We rented a beach house which made the experience even better. It's about an hr away from DCA airport. Definitely account for morning traffic if you are catching an early flight. Got the opportunity to cross the 5 mile Chesapeake Bay bridge. The island has long trails for walking and biking. Many... Kent Island has something for everyone. Easy to reach from a number of metropolitan areas, but mentally a million miles away. Recommend you stay in one of the very convenient hotels (we like the Hilton Garden Inn) and park the car for the duration. More on that later. Restaurants/bars cover the spectrum from "boater/biker" (e.g., Jetty or Red Eyes) to... More

From Stevensville to Grasonville; From Romancoke to Love Point; Kent Island has public piers for fishing and crabbing, kayak rentals, nearby wildlife preserves, plenty of restaurants (where TripAdvisor can be VERY helpful), cross-island biking and jogging trail and lots more.

Kent Island, MD is a delightful destination! There are numerous restaurants, such as Annie's (world's best BLT), The Bridges (best view) and the best kept sushi secret in Maryland, Cafe Sado! Aside from the wonderful waterfront views, there is an amazing bike trail that winds over the entire island. Flat, paved and easily ridden. You can charter a fishing boat... More
