Must do for visitors of the Saco Region. Gorgeous day floating down the river! We rented from Saco River Canoe and Kayak as we always do. They are great and affordable.

Great bird watching and. Ocean views the crowds are gone after labor day and it is still warm enough to enjoy the area and the beach. We go there from arizona every year.

Not sure about firewood but I did a 7 hour trip the 4th weekend and saw no police. If you are respectful and do not have glass or open containers (koozies and thermos cold cups are necessary) and leave no trace you should... More
