Super cool place and an unexpected gem. Wish the trails were marked better and be map was more clear. We got lost for a bit but other hikers led us back.

My first trip to the caves! Some caves, lots of trails - but definitely worth it. Don't need to be an expert spelunker or anything - just need to be ready for some adventure. Dancehall Cave is tiny bit of Indiana Jones .... in Iowa!!

For us city folks, we were transported to a wonderland within minutes of entering the forest. Wished I had brought cheaper shoes though. Good, free "nature therapy" for our kids (ages 7-14).
