Easy access off I-10 and SR 81 for visit in early October 2018. Bacteria advisory still in place (since August), and State Biologist taking samples that day indicated this was a chronic and ongoing issue. Yuk. That essentially killed any prospect of diving the spring...More

My wife and I, along with our 14 year old son and his friend, visited one Saturday in July. It was a gloriously hot day and the park was busy but not so much so that it felt crowded. The water is absolutely awesome when...More

We weren't able to fully enjoy due to bacteria overgrowth and advisories but I would love to come back once it's cleared up. There are neat boardwalks, showers, restrooms, a beach, tables, grills, pavilion and a boat launch. It was still very pretty even with...More

Nearby Ponce de Leon Springs State Park was closed due to a storm and trees down, so the Ranger recommended two nearby springs. We chose Morrison, which is owned and operated by Walton County and doesn't allow alcohol. It is a family place with clear,...More

Park is beautiful and well maintained. Water level is still a bit high with only a small beach exposed. A few families around. Spring is still not visible due to tannic water. Looks like it may take another few weeks before SCUBA diving again.

We took a picnic and kayaks and made a day of it. Fun for the whole family. It is also a great pace to scuba dive and swim.

Well darn! We drove all the way here and we couldn't swim, and wouldn't want to. Health advisory and gross looking. We came back to ponce de Leon, it is beautiful. Next time we will try again maybe it will be clear. It would really...More

The dive shop at Vortex Springs recommended we try this spring. It is free to dive here and just a few miles down the road. You can drive up and unload your gear fairly close to the water. Like Vortex Springs the water was really...More

Not sure if we came at the most horrible time or what, but the whole place looked flooded and the water was brown. There were covered picnic table areas, but we weren't about to stay there with Ponce and Vortex down the road.

This is a gorgeous natural spring that is now managed by Walton County. They have done a beautiful job making renovations and improvements including adding a wheelchair-accessible boardwalk and a boat ramp away from the diving dock. Best of all, there are NO entry fees....More

It is FREE...there is no cost whatsoever. The park operates from sunrise to sunset. It is located at 874 Morrison Springs Rd, Ponce De Leon, FL, which is off of FL-81 S.

As of early October 2018 bacteria levels are exceedingly high. State biologist we met taking samples that day said to stay out of the water.
