Beautiful park

You have to pay to enter, but it is well worth it. The park is beautiful, and there is something to do for all ages.

Matthew caused the more difficult hiking trail to close, however the easier trails were open. The park is well maintained with beautiful live oaks and other trees. Staff is working hard to put the park back after the hurricane, but it is a natural park and storms are part of the cycle

the Mill is a great restaurant where you make your own breakfast. ANd make sure you take the boat trip for the historical info, birds and gators. well worth the trip there. Very unique. Take your bathing suit for dip in the cool spring waters.

This is an awesome place to enjoy the day with family. Our kids absolutely loved it. The area and water were clean. The water was freezing but would feel wonderful on a really hot day. We would come back for sure!

After 1 hour and 45 minutes drive we arrived at 8:00am 36 cars were lined up around the small path to get to the entrance. We arrived early to begin with the famous Sugar Mills restaurant. To begin with the pancakes batch that was given on one side of the table tasted bitter. I noticed it right away, I mentioned... More

Their idea of a butterfly garden was a 5 square ft area with a few plants that SUPPOSEDLY attract butterflies! Didn't see ONE butterfly, and almost every plant was dead! And the spring wasn't in its natural state. It was concretes in. It thought that it would be leading into the river, and have fish and stuff in it. We... More

This Spring was beautiful, very clean. A true treasure! Lots of history behind it and lots of trials, boat tours, kayak, or paddle boats. My husband and our 6 children enjoyed a picnic by the Spring and went for a swim!! Beautiful Sugar Mill also. We cant wait to go back!! Clear blue water and beautiful location.

We came to eat at the Spanish Mill and to check out the springs. The restaurant was a hit, but the springs were a bit disappointing. A fairly small, enclosed pool - not the natural setting we had envisioned after visiting the website. The lake however is beautiful but they don't let you swim there. I suppose it's great for... We got on the waiting list (2+ hour wait!) for the restaurant that has griddles on every table, then took the hour-long boat ride through the waterway that is fed by the springs. We saw many different birds and many alligators, while listening to the history of the area and fun facts about the critters we were seeing. The driver/tour... More

For only a $6 entrance fee, you can spend all day at De Leon Springs State Park. It is a fantastic park with beach and 72 deg year around spring pool. There are paddleboats and kayaks available for rent and a 2 hour guided boat tour on the spring run. There are several nature/hiking trails available to get back to... More
