We drove through this beautiful national forest in early June 2017. There had been a huge snowfall weeks earlier and you could still see snow everywhere. We drove to the top (12,000+ feet) and back down. Lots of people were out hiking, fishing and driving....More

The national forest is full of wonderful hiking trails, nice fly fishing sports, and tons of scenic views. It is a must visit when in Colorado.

The splendor of the Rockies, with groves of aspen trees and fir trees, lakes and creeks and rocks and snow, wildflowers and acres and acres of nature just doing its thing...great place to experience.

Watch out for the potholes in the parking lot, but enjoy the uphill hike. Simply a beautiful walk with lots of local and their dogs around. My son and his dog and I enjoyed the walk.
