You name it, they grow it.: lettuce, artichokes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, strawberries, cherries, etc. The fields are vast and this is such an important part of America. The drive is lovely.

We loved driving through this area.The huge farm lands with artichokes, lettuce,celery,strawberries etc.Watching the workers in the fields, visiting farmstalls and eating french fried artichokes and buying fresh fruit.

A charming drive and stay in this lovely farming area -- home to John Steinbeck and multiple family farms. Taking the road less travelled sometimes takes you to great places.
