We drove this last July and it was beautiful, but not quite what I expected. There was an area with a map you could buy at the beginning of the road once we exited off of the highway, which was helpful. The road was strange,...More

If you are close, even just if not close, you must visit this area and see the trees, oh the trees! Easy drive and not ever rushed with plenty if pull offs and quirky place along the way. Best part of our trip so far.

I've been around redwoods & sequoias my entire life. These groves are impressive, but they don't stand out if you've been to Sequoia National Park or to the Mariposa Grove in Yosemite. Spent about an hour slowly driving through the grove. There look to be...More

There are hardly words to describe this amazing drive through the "giants". It was breath-taking and awe-inspiring. We took a few moments to walk into the forest and found it the most peaceful feeling. The sheer height was tremendous, but the width of the trees...More

This road trip takes you into areas ancient and present. Do not just drive the 31 miles; get out and walk around. My wife and I took several hikes in the area and the noise from passing cars go away after you've walked several hundred...More
