I do recommend Lake Tahoe, it's impressive the beauty of this place, the lake is huge and integrated in the landscape. You will feel like in a postcards. Perfect for vacation with family. For sure I'll go back!

6 stars for natural beauty - but max 4 for everything else. Towns and area are as touristic as it gets. And during season the place is beyond crowded so expect queues and difficulties finding parking. Temperature's pleasant during summer - and it cools down...More

I've been coming to Lake Tahoe for over 50 years. Overall we prefer the Fall when the weather is still warm, fewer vacationers and great hiking. We prefer the North and West shores. For hidden beaches we like the Northeast shore from Sand Harbor south.

The sand at Lake Tahoe isn't the fluffy white sand at other beaches, but it's nice. The view of the snowy mountains is beautiful and makes up for that. It was somewhat busy, but there is plenty of space for it not to feel crowded.

We only had one free afternoon to see Lake Tahoe, so we drove around it, stopping at just two places, Sand Harbor (close to Incline Village) and Inspiration Point. We had been told that everyone should see Sand Harbor but we had great difficulty finding...More

Anyone who has this on their bucket list must go! The scenery is unbelievable. Straight out of a movie. The town itself was delightful, beautiful little shops and a great brewery for lunch. Such a great day out - we hired a car from Sacramento...More
