Large expanse of water streching between California and Nevada. The water looks bluer than the blue lakes I have seen. Head early if you're planning for a picnic in one of the beaches because parking gets crazy.

Lake Tahoe is so damn stunning and I am so glad I did a day trip from SF. There are scenes and vistas you will see that you will carry with you always - gorgeous place! Especially the Emerald Bay :)
