Beautifully restored and well maintained church in the heart of Holguin. For all photographers out there it's a beautiful place to take photos with ample natural light.

Cathedral on the Holguin town square of San Isidoro is rather spectacular well maintained in a town where other buildings leave a little to be desired in terms of maintenance and paint. Lovely.

Small but well restored. The statue of John Paul II outside celebrates his 1996 visit and the official thawing of relations between the Cuban authorities and the Roman Catholic church. Worth a visit.

One of the nicest places to see in Holguin and worth a visit in a busy square where it is a good place to see Cubian way of life.Lots of horse and carriages and bicycle taxis.

What a beautiful church!! With carved wood figures, this is a true testament to the Spanish heritage of Cuba.

Good looking cathedral from the outside. Can only speculate what inside looks like as when there on a Sunday afternoon it was closed! Statue of Pope Paul outside, to commemorate his visit in 1998.

Great view if you ever get the chance to go into the city and go to the top. Hard to believe there are that many buildings. So great to hear about the history behind it as well.

In every town there are the rich churches and the poor churches, this is one of the richer churches. This is a very well cared for and loved church. We look at a church as a art gallery specializing in religious art and architecture. This has some beautiful art. It seems to open up around 4pm most days and you... More
