Architecture a must to see

The old buildings in their unspoiled environment just ooze with history. Great opportunity to enjoy history.

From the moment you climb the steps past the Lions guarding the history that lies within, you feel the atmosphere, of history held in time. Buil'd in old stone the rooms feel cool, and make viewing the visuals, and artifacts, from first settlers, visitors, to the many cultures, country's blend with the Cuban culture, to create many blends of lifestyle... If you are interested in a tranquil milieu with local culture, visit one of the many art galleries. Here you will find creativity, personal expression and political propaganda about freedom and the aspirations of a nation. And in the parks, don’t avoid the statues of well-known national fighters and revolutionaries.

This is found in the the City of Holquin Square. It is only a minimal charge to view all the artifacts and displays pertaining to Cuba and even a stone from Canada.

This show a variety of Cuban and non- Cuban Natural history specimens. With limited Spanish and some French I was able to interpret much of the written information provided for the display. Some of the specimens are older but given this is a museum with probably very little funding I think it is providing a service. Many adults and I... More

I found this place difficult to understand because there is no support for visitors who don't speak Spanish! I would have loved to learn more about Cuba's natural history if they had a guide for me to read and follow along? I know it's a lot to ask, but it's what makes it a pretty poor attraction for tourists who... More

Not much to say really, You paid a basic rate to enter, if you wanted to take photos of anything, then you needed to pay more money, the items which are on view were nothing to write home about,

Entry was free and it was a welcome escape from the afternoon heat. The exhibits were interesting and focussed heavily on indigimous species. On the down side there were few translations available although staff were happy to help if they could,
