A fair drive to get there but worth the trip. A lovely setting overlooking the bay and with picnic tables set in the grounds. A good variety of wines and tasting available before purchasing. We had a platter to share and a Pinot Grigio both of which were lovely. A nice variety of cheese and cold meat. Perhaps not as... More

We were visiting my son in Auckland and he took us, along with several of his friends to this wonderful vineyard. I didn't really know what to expect but it way surpassed my expectations. It's location by the beach was beautiful especially as the weather improved throughout the day. We were pleasantly surprised at the casual and very friendly atmosphere... More

We first visited 3 weeks after it first opened and have visited every year since. Platters were always plentiful , not now !! We got two platters for 4 people at $78 and paid extra for side order of bread and it was pitiful. .everyone went away hungry. Wine however was fantastic as always, bought bottles of Ro'se to take... We had lunch from the food truck parked at the vineyard next to the church. Fantastic food. Small menu but what was on the menu was lovely. We ate lunch on the very comfortable pop up couches. You couldn't ask for a more beautiful outlook for having your lunch.

Not at all as far away as we thought. Nice platters for lunch and plenty of room for the kids to play. Bring a bathing suite and go for a swim in the ocean. Excellent wines! Free wine tasting. A must visit.

We drove out here and thought we were going to the back of beyond given the dirt road and lack of traffic - about 40 minutes from Oneroa. However, it is a beautiful drive and worth it in itself. And when we arrived it was like an oasis. It is a lovely set up with lots of tables out under... More

Had a delicious platter and sampled some wine. Being set up on the beach front in park-like surroundings with tables, bean bags etc was wonderful. Very relaxing. Lots of boats in the Bay and was stunning weather.

Being such a long trek over dusty roads, the man-o-war vineyard has to do something to attract people to this end of the island; free alcohol helps I guess ... Food is limited to platters but the view to the sea on a sunny day, sitting on the grass, drinking a glass of wine and chatting with friends is hard... More

We used to bring visitors here for a delicious anti pasto platter and wine, as part of driving them around the island ... Choose high tide when the bay is at its best. Their wines are very good and the outside area pleasant for relaxing in the shade. However the last time we went the platter was ridiculously small for... More

This is an amazing spot The drive is not for the faint of heart The menu is limited (tapas style) 3 options so not suited to a family…wonderful for couples but don't make our mistake!
