What do you do when waiting for ferries in picton? The aquarium of course. Wasn't great value for money but worth a visit if you're killing time with kids.

Not a bad little place. I'm not sure what people expect when everything clearly indicates this is a rehab sanctuary for penguins. There was one sad little penguin who was preening himself under a lamp. Yes he/she was alone and looked sad but given the...More

A suburb free venue. Learnt a lot about whaling and sealion hunting in early New Zealand history. Do you know that whales started out on land and then de-evolved back to sea mammals

At $24 per adult, it was VERY expensive for what it was. Walked over it twice with in 15 -20 minutes- with a child. Very old and tired looking on the inside. Prices really need to be looked at and lowered.

Didn't feel it was worth $24 per adult. We thought that the blue penguin was stuffed until it blinked! Tanks could have done with a clean.

I have now read some of the reviews here. I went in to see the Blue Penguins and only saw one shivering on a rock in one of the two large tanks with the many fish species. The penguin looked frightened and shivering. I have...More
