Spent the afternoon delivering mail and parcels to locals living in the more remote areas around Picton. What a wonderful and interesting experience. The scenery was spectacular. If you choose to sit upstairs and outside be sure to have plenty of sunscreen and a cardigan/ light coat, it got pretty windy. Binoculars would have been a bonus. Only slight downside... More

A wonderful experience with a guide on first name terms with the wildlife. Found a pod of dusky dolphins which circled the boat performing their natural antics and on the way home fed blue cod which could be seen attacking their food from the depths. Brought Captain Cook's voyage to the area alive with stop in Resolution Bay. Great value... More

Our tour included a boat tour of the Marlborough Sounds (Queen Charlotte Sound). We were so pleasantly surprised by this wonderful excursion. The boat and crew were great and the captain's knowledge of the inlets, nature, wildlife, and homes along the sound were quite impressive. Seals, birds, fish, and many species of trees were pointed out and described in detail... More

The skipper was very knowledgeable on the local history, fauna and flora. It was great to meet the locals on their piers along with their dogs who were waiting their treats.

We wanted to experience the Marlborough Sounds up close, to see the wildlife and the beautiful views, possibly to swim and also to do some fishing. As a family with small children we wanted to do this on a safe boat with friendly hosts. Well we hit the jackpot by deciding to book a charter with Ian and Sybil on... More

We chartered a private cruise in Marlborough Sounds with Queen Charlotte Boat Charters for my husband's birthday and had a really magical day. Ian and Sybil were lovely welcoming hosts with very strong local knowledge. Travelling around the sounds was a really special experience due to the incredible scenery and wildlife. Ian and Sybil got the perfect mix of showing... More

Sybil and Ian were so easy to talk to on the phone and we decided to book a half day nature cruise followed by a wine tour. Ian picked us up from the marina and I was thrilled as 'Storm Dancer' accelerated out to sea. Our skipper was professional and knowledgable and we watched wonderful Australasian Gannets diving for fish... More
