Exceeded all expectations. The walk, the scenery both amazing. The organisation of accom and water transport made it so easy and such a great experience, we loved every step of it. The accom was fantastic , very luxuriant at end of a day of walking. It was our first glamping experience, normally we are very basic campers, but this was... More

Couldn't fault this - from first reading the web site to starting the booking and through to the end of the walk it was a fantastic experience. Marty was a great guide - knowledgable, friendly, and fun. He included all members of the group and was just a joy to be around. If you want to really enjoy your Queen... More

We booked our walk through Wilderness Guides and they were first class in every respect - they did not miss a beat. Responsive in the booking process, willing to help with some special arrangements (Birthday Cake) and flexible when it came to making some changes along the way. I could not recommend them highly enough. I also thought that the... More

Our recent trip to New Zealand included a hike on the first section of the Queen Charlotte Track. Rather than go by ourselves we decided to engage a guide from Wilderness Guides, located on the waterfront in Picton. We are very glad we did and our guide, Jason, was excellent in every way. He is very friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and... More

This is the first time I have ever wanted to write a review for something. Merlin was fantastic on our half day kayak, even though it was raining. We learned a lot (and then forgot a lot), and had fun all along the way. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone. This was by far the highlight of our... More

Had a fantastic walk on the track over 4 days with 6 ladies (ages 37 to 60)along with our guide, Alex from wilderness. I have read other highly recommended reviews and have a similar story and opinion about the track. Great views and good walking track. We found it challenging enough for newbies to tramping. Four of us normally walk... More

We had a fabulous experience. Really enjoyed the walk, but at 62 and 68 found the bike ride very challenging, the kayaking was great but the weather on that day wasn't as perfect as the days before. The transfers to and from the track and lodges were all well organised, the accomodation was great , the prepared lunches were good... More

Two friends and i recently completed the Boutique, 4 day, 3 night guided Queen Charlotte Walk, with the cosmopolitan Alex as our guide. Alex hailed from Wales but had picked up a rich mix of accents along the way. Wilderness Guides were very flexible, given one of our number couldn't walk on Day 1 or Day 3 due to health... More

My wife and I recently walked the Queen Charlotte Track. We chose the guided 4 day Boutique walk with Wilderness Guides. It was a fantastic experience made much more enjoyable by the attention to detail from Wilderness Guides together with the knowledge and expertise by our guide, Martyn. Nothing was too much trouble. Accommodation and meals in boutique lodges were... More
