Thoroughly recommend. The scenery in our own backyard is amazing and this trip showcases some of it. Jeff and his wife Suzy were great hosts and lots of laughs were had.

This is a most unique sightseeing tour one can have. You go with a real postman and deliver mail and parcels through the bays, valleys, farms, coastline and settlements of eastern Akaroa. You will not only see amazing scenery, but also experience and see the...More

This tour was probably the best of our shore excursions on our New Zealand cruise. Jeff and Suzi were fantastic hosts and tour guides, and the drive through the hills around Akaroa was great, with great views of the harbour itself. We stopped for morning...More

We have always booked ahead. I think we booked with the visitor centre. That opens at 9.00 and the mail run goes at 9.00 so I suspect that booking on the day won't work.

I think this may already have been answered. I booked through the Akaroa Adventure Centre. They're easy to find online. They're very helpful. You'll enjoy the experience.

It was $75 per ticket, so we paid $150. But this is payment in New Zealand dollars, which are worth about 75% of US dollar. So the true cost wasn't as much. Enjoyable way to see scenic Akaroa.
