Visited for the first time last night with my parents for a piano recital. The church itself is just stunning, with an impressive entrance and golden (not real!) display in front of you, with cherubs heads all staring out!

We visited here during our walk around this not to be missed beautiful town. The church was amazing and the altar was truly magnificent.
The belltower offers great views of the surrounding area.

We would recommend that when visiting the Church of Misericordia you purchase the ticket that allows you to climb up the Bell Tower (a beautiful view of Tavira) and also gets you in to Santa Maria. €4 each
