Tavira is a beautiful ancient city that has kept all the traces of past civilizations like the Islamic or Roman occupation. The narrow streets hide beautiful architectural jewels including the 20 churches of the city.
This is a wonderful square with lots of cafes and water feature. There was a stage set up which must be used for concerts in the evening. Well worth a visit for the atmosphere and the fantastic old architecture.
