I've never seen this before, two seas collide into each other, and you can see it in the waves on the beach. The place is always windy, naturally. And from the car parking (which really wasn't difficult at all, we got there around 1pm) to the actual spot took about half hr walk. It was quite enjoyable, the sand is... More

We took a taxi to Grenen, walked along the seashore to the tip of Denmark and enjoyed the brilliant clear skies, sunshine and good clean air. This is the very point where the North Sea and the Baltic meet - too dangerous to swim, as warned. We immediately realised why a colony of famous artists based themselves at Skagen circa... More

The car park is a tourist trap. I paid DKr. 99 by credit card for 40 minutes. Frederikshavn Municipality claimed it was a favor to check me out after 9 hours, else I should have paid more. There was nothing written about checking out, so the meters take advantage of ignorant tourists.

We wanted to visit this area during Our 2 day stay i Skagen. And we weren't dissapointed. The Waves, the Beach the blue sky and the sun - in was a spectacular scenery. And we got fresh air in lungs and hair. Good parking opportunity, and serviceroom at the parking Place. And seems that all the People doing this walking... More

nature at its best - great dunes, clear water, great beaches, and standing with your feet in two seas and enjoying the waves breaking from each ocean and to TOP it off 2 sea lions popped up to watch us and say hello - and the sun and lights are very special. and it is all free (except the parking).... Grenen on the top of Denmark, where the 2 oceans smashes together is absolutly the most beautifull place on earth! Also remember to visit the fantastic city of Skagen just a couple of kilometers away, wich offer you tasty restaurants, Denmarks biggest fishing-industry harbour, lot more beautifull nature and great art and histories. So come and visit Skagen and Grenen.

All times of the year it is interesting to watch the two seas meet. From the car park you can either walk or you can ride on the tractor bus called Sandormen to the very top of Denmark and enjoy standing with one foot in each sea, the Northsea and the Baltic sea

Take a coat with you because this location can be cold and windy. We had a pleasant walk along the sands from the car park until we got to the point. It was really interesting to see the waves coming at you from both sides at the same time and to walk out onto the sand spit that forms where... More
