I spent almost all my summers in the Tatras when I was a little girl since my grandpa was a professional hiker. Every time I go back it brings back my memories. Fantastic place, awesome routes, great to be there.

Nice place, good holiday destination, unfortunately too much scraps along the sidewalks (used as toilet paper). Very very bad, but not the National Park responsibility, it´s people.

This national park contains the smallest high mountain area of Europe. People from Slowakia and Poland like to visit it, so it is over crowded on smoe places, and reservations for cable trains should be made in advance. The walking is nice, but walking in...More

One of my favorite places in Tatra is Popradske pleso. You can start your trip in Strbske pleso. In an hour walk on the red or green road you will reach the Popradske pleso and you can decide, if you have enough power to go...More

As above - there are lots of places to stay in Stary Smokovec - if you fly into Krakow you could visit the Tatras on the Polish side. Zakopane also has lots of good places to stay and the walks there are well marked and... More
