We have had a nice, long walk from Nida, with a stop at the sundial, through the Valley of Death and right to the Russian border (we "washed our feet" in the Curonian lagoon right next to the border fence). There are many people on...More

The place is amazing, also full of tourists. Specially on sunny day. Still worth to see. Really big Parnidis dune has wonderful view - on the left hand you can see Curonian lagoon, on the right hand - Baltic sea.

The narrow dune strip, Neringa is a beautiful and very accessible nature area. There are many paths and routes for walking and cycling. Especially great for kids.

There are fabulous views of the Baltic and the Lagoon, but also the sheer size and immensity of the power of the dunes is impressive.

This dune is a very beautiful and impressing one. Especially if you have learned about its existence/history before. Talk a walk in the dune to feel why some part is also called “valley of death”. A 100% must see in Nida

I don't recall seeing any dogs in the dunes, but neither do I recall there being any restrictions about dogs being posted. However, as I do not have a dog, I did not take much notice. I would think that due to the rather... More
