Definitely a must visit place when driving by. The crater has some sort of sacred place atmosphere that is wort experiencing when visiting Saaremaa.

We really enjoyed our visit to this crater as we learned a lot about meteors in an excellent museum funded by the EU. We had a beautiful sunny day for our visit and had a chance to meet an Estonian geologist whose passion was meteors. We saw the main crater and also took the time to see a couple of... More

The Kaali crater is actually a group of 9 meteorite craters in the Kaali village. They are all filled with water, it doesn't even look like any landmark, basically craters filled with water in the woods/bushes. Some parts, there are paths but to get to the smaller craters can be difficult. To be honest, I think it's only worth to... More

You need to see the crater and it's free too.. Although it doesn’t look big the meteorite crater made us imagine the impact and damage the meteorite caused when it hit the ground. The Kaali lake in at the bottom of the crater and it was interesting reading about all the myths and legends that have sprung up. We walked... More

Kaali Meteorite Crater is surrounded by a pure nature so it's really nice to walk around. Of course, intriguing fact that it's made because of the meteorite, but that's it.

Not a very big crater, but the place is neat and tidy and easy on the eye. You can walk around the rim in about 10 or 15 minutes. Legend has it that if lovers walk around holding hands, they will stay together forever !

You visit the hole in the ground with some water inside and very unkempt side walls. They claim there was a meteorite, but have not much to show for it other than a hole. Not worth the visit.

Although it's interesting to know that this small crater was caused by a meteorite, the drive to get there wasn't worthwhile.
