The museum is rather small. Most is taken up by an exhibition with photos of trees. Those are pretty. The museum shows a lot of portrait photos and history about the Minox brand.
I was expecting more old photos of Riga or Latvia.
It only took an hour and a half to go round, but it was great to see such a large collection of Latvian photographs. The Minox exhibition was particularly good, as was the obscura and the various other 'hands on' exhibitions.

Really interesting history of photography in Latvia with some extraordinary photos, plus some great old equipment and the story of the Minox camera development. Just loved the personal hands on approach of the senior lovely lady.
A really interesting museum that was highly enjoyable. The staff were really helpful, perhaps a little too helpful, as you'd be reading one thing and then she'd interrupt and try to show you or tell you something else!
