Most iconic building in the city. Its possible to get up the tower to see Riga from up above 360°. The elevators are pretty expensive though (15 € per an adult). Very beautifu, but crovded and cold up there. Be ready to stand in line for the elevator. It only tajes 10 persons at a time.

St Peter's Church is lovely. Well worth a visit, you can pay to go to the top of the tower and can also go inside. All lit up at night.

The tickets for the trip in the lift cost €9 each, this seems a little expensive but put it down to upkeep of the building on a whole. The lift runs every 10 minutes (or so) so there can be a bit of a wait. We were quite amused by the lady who operated the lift, who sat in the... More

One of the two main churches in the Old Town. The austere Lutheran Church has an amazing Spire. It only dates from after WW 2 however.Touristy. Starting point for many walking tours.

This central Riga masterpiece left a big impression on me. It looks stunning in its grandeur over the surrounding houses. It looks best at night when lit up and apart from that grandeur leaves a mystical feel. Dating back to 13 cent when made of timber, it was rebuilt in stone later. The interior was rather disappointing to me, as... More

You must take the lift to the viewing platform in the spire. Cold but worth it for the stunning panorama. Church also has a spectacular wooden altar which is stunning.

Any opportunely for a bird's eye, panoramic view of a city should never be passed up. The view from the top offers a 360 degree view of Riga which is absolutely spectacular. Even on a cloudy day it was awe inspiring. You take the stairs to the second floor and from there you take the lift. The cost is 9... More

I was very put out leaving St. Peter's Church today. Firstly the building is incredible but it is overrun with so much art that the church itself is being smothered! While the art is nice I think it takes away from the church itself. The staff seemed very uninterested! As it was a foggy day we decided not to go... More

You have to pay entry even if you don't want to go up the tower - which you should definitely do. I think they charge 3€. The church sadly burned out while the 2nd WW ,that's why the windows are very simple and the interior looks new and minimalistic. There was an art gallery of different locals artists which some...
