Its ok for the 3€ entrance, but there is not much special on the cathedral. Parts are currently under renovation, like the vast pipe organ.

I visited the cathedral twice. My first trip was to sightsee. It's an impressive cathedral, with a nice interior and pretty courtyard. I spent about 10 minutes there. But the real reason to come is to hear an organ recital. It's one of the world's largest organs and the sound is utterly magnificent! On my second trip, I heard a... More

Visited this wonderful church, whose origins go all the way back to the 13th century christianisation of the Baltic. Make sure to visit the cloister too.

In the Soviet period the cathedral was reconstructed to be a concert hall. The altar was dismantled which made way for arm chairs to be established. The cathedral has its own parish, history museum of Riga and a concert hall and one of the largest pipe organs

The Lutheran Cathedral is simple but your entry includes the cloisters. There are lots of interesting items along with some old junk! There is a fine line of difference!! Worth a visit

The organ concerts draw a large audience. The organ is under reconstruction, but the concert is impressive. Must see and must hear in Riga.

I hope one day I would go and listen to Organ music. Nevertheless it's an important part in Riga's architecture legacy.

Maybe it was us, but of the churches and places we visited in the Baltic states, this was one we probably enjoyed visiting least. The cloister is interesting and provides a history, but the interior is rather plain.

This cathedral cost 3 Euros to enter, but is well worth it, especially if you enter around noon when there is a concert. The pulpit and organ are worth looking at, but my favourite part is the cloisters which hold lots of artefacts. There are lots of ramps to help wheelchair and pushchair access.

The church itself is beautiful but not exquisite if you compare to others in Europe, but the organ is one of the best in Europe, so check the schedule and visit for a concert, which is really great
