Lovely place to visit

Riga cathedral was very charming and sat in a lovely big square, where a single musician played. Despite being a Saturday and the sun being out the streets were absolutely empty.

Magic acoustics, unforgettably beautiful inside. Quality organ music acted on the body as an internal SPA The teen daughter simply disconnected. We took a lot of photographs, we were very pleased.

Paid to get in but was quite disappointed. Just a church, not very elaborate or ornate and seemed quite small compared to other cathedrals. A nice outdoor area with some stairs and relics. It was ok but nothing to get excited about.

This is located in the dome square area where many events are held including the christmas market that we've been to when we visited Riga before new year. Difficult to miss, the architectural design boasts of its historical past.

3 Euros admission price. Well worth this charge for the ecclesiastical bric-a-brac in the cloisters- don't miss this part.

Please do make sure that this one is on your list! Not only it is most important landmark of city (IMHO), it is equally exciting from inside - make sure you see inside of church and Cross-Vaulted Gallery. Check web for time and date of organ concerts in Dome, make sure you plan your visit accordingly, so that you can... More

We first saw the cathedral from our hotel window. Not shortly after, we were there walking around. It is beautiful, both inside and out. Parts are from the 1200's. There was some construction going on on the organ while we were there, but we got to see, and touch, some of the temporarily removed pieces in the outside courtyard. The... More

Beautiful historic church. Great historical retrospect. On display is a rich source of historical and archeological sites.

We stayed just round the corner from this cathedral and when we went inside we were very impressed. Remember to buy a photo pass so you can take pictures

They charge 3 euro to enter this place Not much to see there , but it's very historic I'd say it's more impressive on the outside than inside Worth a visit is you have a spare hour
