We loved everything about Riga from the spectacular buildings to the art to the wonderful relaxing parks to the cool cafes to the fascinating old town. Lots to see if you just wander around (no need for a guide, it's all walkable with a map)....More

This is what you came to see in Riga and you won't be disappointed. Loads of cobbled streets, old churches, Art Nouveau architecture, cute shops and cafes, etc. However, the central street Kalku Iela is way too touristy with chain restaurants like TGI Fridays, even...More

As with most places in Europe, you need to look up as some of the best features are on the roofs of buildings (like the cat house for example .... 19 meistaru street)

Riga is two day city. Beautiful but in general nothing to do, and to see. I was lucky with weather. Food not very cheap, but delicious.

A variety of good restaurants, cafes and stores. Really nice to just walk around and do not miss the alleys.

Very beautiful and quite big old town. Restaurants and bars of course are very tourist oriented and prices are really on a high side. The views, architecture and general atmosphere are amazing. You have to visit and experience for yourself.

The Old Town of Riga is, truth to tell, the primary reason to visit Latvia. A melange of Swedish, German and Soviet, it's bursting with tourists, shops and restaurants -- and several good museums. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy. A special place.

One of the most beautiful old towns I have seen in Europe, a true rival to Prague, Krakow and Tallinn. It is really delightful to walk around the beautifully preserved and restored buildings and cobbled lanes. Everything looks very nice and colors are numerous. Churches...More

Our hotel was on the cusp of Riga Old Town and it became an easy place to visit. So much was flattened by occupying countries and has now been rebuilt so tastefully. We took a boat trip around the rivers and out onto the main...More
