Small museum, no charge to enter but donations welcome. Mainly pictures and a few videos. Not as interesting as museum in Vilnius.

The museum is a great way to become familiar with the difficult history of Latvia. Currently it is in a temporary location while the original site is restored. Very worthwhile museum.

The story of Latvia's occupation by the Russians, Germans and again the Russians is a harrowing one but is well told through the exhibits in this museum. It is well worth a visit.

A free museum which is very informative about the recent history of the occupation of Latvia by both Russia and Germany of which I knew nothing of. It's not that large and will only take 90-120 minutes but somewhere I'd definitely recommend.

we had an hour guide but it was just a talk about the information boards, rather dry and standing in a stuffy room.we could have read what we wanted and looked at the photos instead. We had confused this museum with the KGB house .
