One of the most magnificent buildings in Town Hall Square is the House of Blackheads (circa 1334 and rebuilt in 1995-99), which once hosted a brotherhood of foreign merchants and now serves as both a museum and concert hall.

This was really cheap to visit. 6 Euro. 30-60 mins is fine. There is a history of the blackheads. Lots of interesting things to read. Ruins to see and tools etc from the centuries.

Just a fantastic place. The House is dull of treasures. Silver on the ground floor. A lovely exhibition in the basement and a stunning hall on the first. With every penny of the 6€ each entrance fee. Staff are great and full of "fun facts"

Rebuilt almost entirely since being bombed in 1941 this important piece of Latvian history is worth the 9 euros and 2 hours.

This house is simply beautiful. If someone says Riga, I immediately think of the House of Blackheads. I have never been in the inside, but it is still worth seeing from the outside just to admire beauty of old architecture.
