One of the most magnificent buildings in Town Hall Square is the House of Blackheads (circa 1334 and rebuilt in 1995-99), which once hosted a brotherhood of foreign merchants and now serves as both a museum and concert hall.

The attraction opens at 1100 and as we arrived 5 minutes later we initially had the building to ourselves. The attraction is spread over 3 floors with lots of history and very impressive assembly rooms on the higher floor. Entrance fee is a reasonable €6...More

Nicely done downstairs with facts and upstairs with a stunning ballroom. Fairly smaller than you'd expect from the facade.

Beautiful architecture, just next to St Peter Church. Walking distance to many historical sites such as old town, central market, ... December is wet (umbrella would be handy) and cold, possibly snowing too.

It’s a must visit while you’re there! It was actually a gentleman’s club for wealthy, single merchants and their journey men. I didn’t get to go inside it since I got there really early but I’ve heard there’s a 6 Euro entry fee to enter...More

We visited this after reading various reviews the outside was very attractive and when going inside we thought it might be a bit dull but we managed to join a guided tour which made this very worthwhile

House exteriour is most photo taken house in Riga, but definetly go inside to see this beauty! Ball room is very beautiful! And silver collection is somthing unique! Even maylillies from silver
