A nice building with good facilities, but the contents are disappointing. Latvia art seems very provincial and a lot inspired by Sovjet realistic art. Not worth the entrance fee

I loved it. The building it self is a piece of art. But yeah, You can get a very good idea of 19th-20th century Latvian art in reasonable time.

Free Museum with some lovely art and installations. Helpful staff. The glass floor on the 4th floor was only for the brave amongst us !

Loved this place, from its quirky glass floor to the superb terrace with views over the city. Great mixture of art, photographs, a soviet poster display. A very well thought out eclectic mix and in nice grounds too.

The gallery was larger than anticipated. The descriptions of the art were informative and the layout really emphasized how Latvian art dealt with the demands of the occupation. The perfect size for an afternoon viewing
