This is far from being one of Europe's finest art galleries - more on a par with a good British provincial museum. However, if you have time to fill, the entry fee is reasonable, particularly if there is an interesting temporary exhibition taking place.

This is an excellent museum in the heart of Riga, organizing fantastic art exhibitions; I visited the last one last week, this was a collection of paintings from Prado (Madrid)- Rubens and other classics, as well as Goya caprichos!!!! Run to see it!

We've gone there to see the temporary exhibitions, but were very impressed by the permanent ones as well. The building is beautifully renovated and the exhibition halls are pieces of art themselves. Very modern, comfortable, with all amenities useful for visitors. 6 EUR ticket to see the whole museum including temporary exhibitions.

I actually preferred the Bourse to the National Museum of Art - both the temporary and permanent exhibitions were excellent and the interior decoration of the building of the former Stock Exchange a delight. The collection of classic art is very good.

A three floor museum with different collections. A place that could be visited by families as it is not large and quite divers. Pay attention to the very nice view of the market that you will get at the 3rd floor. Moreover the halls by them self are pieces of art.

As a family of older (teenage) children and much younger (toddler) children we were enthusiastic about our visit to this museum....... We have a keen interest in art and design so after a day of sightseeing and Christmas markets we thought we would spend a few hours inside later in the day. The museum has a 'assistance' button at the... More

Although Riga's famous for its Art Nouveau, this 19 cent edifice is an outstanding example of Venetian Renaissance. It's located opposite the biggest Dom Church on the Dom Sq, right in the very center of Old town. Just like the exterior, the Bourse museum has a stunning interior with gilded surfaces and artificial marble, which make it look palace like.... More

We swept inside on a chilly day to take in art works we had read were there: a self-portrait by Rembrandt and a Degas. Unfortunately we felt as if we shouldn't have asked about them since they were not on view. The person in the ticket booth had very poor English and we gave up trying to communicate. The map/guide...
