Before you enter the museum, look up at the impressive staircase! Once inside, all staff are dressed in period costume. It is a peaceful and enchanting experience to slowly meander through each room, which have all been restored to their original state. It doesn't take long to see each room but there is also a wonderful shop opposite the museum... More

People who work here exercise sincere care and keeness to introduce the visitors to Art Nouveau style. We were visiting the museum on Valentines day. And guess what? They arranged the exposition to suit the love theme. You could see the pictures from old times, of boys expressing their love and girls saying ‘actions speak louder than words’. All the... More

This is an apartment from 1903 by the famous Latvian architect Konstantins Peksens in Alberta iela, which is famous for its Art Nouveau architecture. The apartment/museum shows the interior of a flat of that period. It is beautifully done and includes glass paintings in the windows. The staircase in the entrance must also be noticed. The entrance is from Strelnieku... More

It was a pleasure to visit this old apartment formely belonging to a man of the Arts. The guides were elegantly dressed woman with hats from that period. I had an extra thrill as I could recognize some items from my house. The museum also had a nice shop. The only draw-back was that it did not have or would... More

Just one of many don't miss sights in this part of Riga. The interior of this was once the home of a Riga architect who designed many of the stunning art nouveau buildings that surround the streets in this part of town. Do not miss this.

What a treat to be able to go inside one of Riga's Art Nouveau's treasures, and even more that it is so true to its history. The museum is small, essentially one apartment, but gives a glimpse of the styles of the times. The kitchen was a particularly fun highlight - visit to find out why! The onsite interpreters were... Located about 15 minute walk from the city centre - go through the park and along the canal for the best route. Fabulous art deco buildings are all around here, but this flat is amazing inside. Lovingly restored - approx 7 rooms with authentic features and furniture. Very interesting.

This museum includes a lot of art nouveau objects exhibited in rooms as they would have been used. There are people sitting in the rooms who will answer questions and explain the use of the objects. The stained glass windows are stunning

This museum has to be the highlight of my Riga visit. It is worth the walk from the old town and despite it being a small museum, the wealth of the exhibits makes it a feast for the eye. It was absolutely crowded when we visited on a Sunday lunchtime with tour groups, but we squeezed in and found pockets... More

A bit of difficulty finding the entrance... Go in the building and walk through the doors on the right... But it was worth the effort. Beautiful restoration, and a genuine feeling of what Riga felt like in the 1920's.
