Really nice walk in the forest near the beach. You can visit open air museum as well and find out more about the history of fishing and fishermen lifestyle. Definetely recommended.

Nice way to spend an afternoon. Walk and quiet usually when a band is not playing at the "36 line". Not so easy to reach but there are signs. We got there by taxi (about 15 euro from Riga old city).

The best forest in Latvia! Clean and beautiful. Right next to Lielupe beach full of sand dunes and all types of birds. Wonderful walk to the mouth of the river Daugava. Wooden staircase leading to fishing museum. Ideal for hiking and running.
