Romantic and cozy

Tartu Town Hall Square is in the very heart of the old town. The sculpture of kissing students adds very romantic touch to it.

Beautiful square and especially nice in the Christmas time with all the lights, a huge Christmas tree, an outdoor café which serves hot drinks and wafers, swings to sit on.

Chrostmas Time tgere is a huge tree and also an encampment where you can be surrounded by christmas trees and get some mulled wine on the inside. Be sure to grab a photo!

Amazing Tree, huts, Lights. You feel the spirit of Christmas here. Besides many cafes and restaurants surround the square and they are not expensive! For... More

We were lucky to have wonderful weather and enjoyed sitting in the town square and people watching in the evening.

It was a sunny day so everything was nicely covered in warm yellow/orange colour. A lot of restaurants and other objects is very near, something like 7-10min maybe even closer :)

Perhaps in the past everything happened around this square, but still with a population of over 100,000, the square attracts everything in and around Tartu like a giant magnet. Beautiful period building that houses the info center. The square has a fountain and a bronze 'Kissing Student' monument that is perhaps the 'necessary' stop for every tourist. Festivities, and Tartu... More

It is the center of the old town, so all the main sites are located nearby. Beautiful buildings on the square (note that some of them are completely tilted).

We were here on a cold and rainy day and that's never a good time for a city-visit. But when the sun shines, this must be a very pretty site / sight.
