An amazing sight of red rooftops, church spires and the cruise terminal. The roof of Pika Jala Gate is just below. A great view of much of the Old Town, with St Olav’s Church in the distance. It really is a panoramic view!

Beautiful place with seagulls and definitely super easy to get to. There are some European capitals which are so hilly and it is so difficult to reach any viewing point. This is luckily not the case for Tallinn.

Nice view of the old city.
There is not a lot of people in autumn. Good ability to take some photos.

We walked up to the viewing platform without expecting too much since we were already up on the hill, but WOW! You see all the red roof tops of the historic buildings and it's really beautiful. Big white birds seem to gather there too and walk really close making for fun photos.

Great place to come to whilst in the Old Town to look at the views across the Old Town and take a few photos of the roof-tops. Apparently very busy in the tourist season but hardly anyone there when we visited in November.

This is another good place from which to survey Tallinn from above.

You can see the red roofs of the Old Town and the spires of the churches. In addition, you have a great view of modern Tallinn, including some high-rise buildings. It's an interesting contrast between old and new.

A great place to view the lower part of the old town. It was very busy to get a spot at the front but be patient and you will get a good chance for some photos.

A view is a view is a view, but I offer two hints on how to get the best from this one. First, do it when you have gained some personal knowledge of the Old Town and can appreciate the landmarks in the cityscape spread out for view. Second, adjourn to a very pleasant little restaurant adjacent to the platform and have a beer or a coffee while you watch the crowds of harrassed sightseers struggling to get room to take their photographs before rushing off to the next attraction.

Super nice place to have an overview over the Old Town until the Sea. You can see the Cruise Ships as well. My recommendation is to go there early. The platforms can get very crowded after 11 am. It is one of the things you have to go when you are in the Old Town.
