I must say right away, Kumu is a great museum! But how disgusting and shameful it is to make such expensive tickets!! 12€ for an regular ticket for an adult is almost a mockery of the very idea of enlightenment, which should be the purpose of the existence of any museum. It is all the more shameful that the museum presents magnificent works of Estonian art. Probably it is the popularization of the Estonian cultural heritage that contradicts the ideas of those people who make such high prices for museum visits possible.
At the same time, coming to London you will be able to visit the most important museums absolutely for free! In Warsaw, a number of museums are available for free every day of the week. And as a result, in a week you will be able to visit almost all the main places.
Alas, in Estonia, just coming to the museum (without benefits and special discount cards) turned out to be an expensive pleasure. It's hardly worth being proud of.

Kumu is situated in a nice park a couple kms of Tallinn’s centre. It was not easy to find entrance to Kumu because the navigator did not recognise new oneway streets.
Kumu is nice, not too large in a nice, fairly young building. Entrance fee is not high. The exhibition we visited was good, Estonian female painters, also some Finnish like Schjerbeck and Theslef. They have a cafe too in Kumu with fair prices.

Very interesting museum and architecture of the building. I spent several hours here, discovering lots of Estonian art that I had never heard of. Through the art you also learn a bit about the country's history and people's way of life. I especially liked the part about the Soviet period, and would recommend to start with that.

Excellent introduction to the history of Estonian art, as well as contemporary art. Impressive building complex, closed to the Kadriorg palace and park. I recommend having guided tour, if you don't know Estonian art beforehand. And have enough time, because the exhibitions are large and in several floors.

We visited the Kumu Art Museum during our stay in Tallin. It was an interesting experience with a lot of exhibits of different artists and also an exhibition of Estonian history.
There is also a cafe inside where you eat or enjoy your coffee.

If you like art and history, this museum is a must! The building itself is modern and clean. The art exhibits were diverse, spanning from the USSR era to more recent times. I participated in a group activity which lasted 3 hours. The Team Art digital installation was phenomenal! It feels like you are immersed in an ocean, a garden, and standing around a campfire. If you've been to the Van Gogh digital art experience, it is very similar to that. I recommend partaking in the activities they offer if you have the time. The cafe is also very quaint with wonderful food and coffee options.

This museum is interesting, versatile and well-planned. The different floors offer different exhibitions; some are modern and some are historic. They also have a café that offers salty and sweet and a nice gift shop where I bought a few cards of my favorite paintings. On the way to the museum you walk through a big park called Kadriorg park, which also has beautiful things to explore. We stopped by the colorful Kadriorg castle and walked around the little park area outside, which was very pretty. We spent a nice half-day at this museum and the area around, and I recommend a visit!

I was first time visitor to Tallinn and had the Tallinn card, so I went ahead visited this museum along with the other museums around the palace park. The museum was interesting in a new modern building. It was a little hard to know where the entrance and exit to the different galleries on the different floors, the signage could be a little better. It wasn't just me, but others near me had same issue. The painting were interesting and was well worth the visit.

Its a lovely art museum with various exhibitions in a beautiful location. Besides, the building itself serves a visit. Its a huge museum. Depending on your interest and time, it may be a good idea to select certain exhibitions, not all. There are various types of tickets available, too. There is a good museum shop as well as the cafe. Must in Tallinn if interested in art.

Great art exhibition with focus on Estonia, Russain and contemporary pieces. Stunning building. 30-45 minuts walk from city center / ferry harbour. In a beautiful area close the President Residence.
