Do look around the back of the church if entering from the arch, to see the old stone carvings of the dog ‘chasing pagans into church’ and the lion and dragon with snakes in their mouths.

One of the most typical and unique places in Tallinn. A must for visitors to the city. Full of lovely small shops.

This tourists site in Tallinn old town is very well hidden for visitor without a tourist guidebook. One of the many sites where you can learn something about the history of this beautiful Medieval old town just by reading the city signs.

In a well kept city you come across this older gem. The plaques are headstones and the church is pretty well gone. Hard alley to find by worth it.

This is a narrow cut through between 2 streets. It include a church part way down. It gives a clear impression of how medieval towns were not all big impressive buildings with wide boulevards.

It’s not very big! It’s just a very picturesque and old part of the town with a handful of arts and crafts plus souvenir shops. It’s very pretty though and nice to walk through.
