Lots of interesting stuff here, though it seems to be presented in a weird way, an old musket next to a sub-machine gun for instance. Nice amount of historical stuff and it's a lovely building

The collection is nice but not very special. It's the atmosphere of the hall that makes it special. Walking through the museum gives a vey special sense of the long lasting occupations that this small country has endured. The Soviet period is still very touchable....More

This place is well worth knowing about, especially on a rainy day sightseeing in Tallinn. The building itself is historic, being the home of the Great Guild, a guild of merchants. The museum contains a variety of exhibits about Estonian history. On the opposite side...More

The Great Guild Hall is a combination of Estonia history and the story of the Great Guild itself. It is presented in quite a variety of ways. It has exhibits of artifacts, video displays, archeological features of the building, and rooms laid out as they...More

At 9 euros for a family ticket (2 adults plus as many kids as you like) this is good value. It contains the story of Estonia over the many occupations by foreigners and the brief spells of independence. Entitled the spirit of survival, you get...More
