This is a highly interesting tour. All of our children (aged 9 - 14) thouroghly liked it. A lot of effort has been put into restoring the underground passages and some of the artefacts date back to 1533!

Kiek in de Kök, the artillery tower in Tallinn. The 38 m tower, just outside of old Town was used to watch nearby houses' kitchens and it gained the name "Peep into the Kitchen". The tower serves as museum now. The tower is preserved well and fits perfect with the old town walls...

Most medieval cities built underground passages / tunnels for moving arms and people around the fortified cities. Built by the Swedes and not reall used again until during the Russian period in the 20th Century when they were used as bunkers during the second world war.

This attraction was absolutely amazing and walks you back through 500 years of history in this Bastion The effects around the 1944 bombing were very realistic and moving

Unfortunately, the museum and passages are CLOSED Mondays. So sad, as my husband and I would have loved to go inside and tour! Saw the grounds with some neat historical info, and got some great views of Tallinn Old Town. Go when it's open and go inside!

The best part about this is the name. Only the tower was available on the day I was there, so I didn't get to see the passages due to the tours being "full". There's got to be a better way to allocate tour times by reservation or what not. Maybe there was, but not part of any website I viewed.... More

One of the 37 towers in the defence wall around the Old Town . A good chance to imagine yourself as a town guard. A good place to enjoy photos of the past, climb the narrow stairs up and down the tower and feel happy to have a free wi-fi

There are underground bastions and it was impressive to join the english speaking tour of them. so please check ahead of the time of english tour. the tour itself takes about 45 minutes to an hour. Our guide was cheerful and led us through, It is very chill under so do go in with adequate warm clothing.

We went only to the Bastion passages - you have to book time in advance! Well prepared guide with interesting stories :) The temperature inside is always about +5 degrees, so take some warm clothes!!!

Typical medieval bastion, where you will find a lot of information about the history of Tallinn. We had a tour underground and really enjoyed it.
