Having been to Tallinn twice on hot, summer days it was a change to experience it in a snowstorm but the views from the hill, across the old town rooftops were equally spectacular. This view is a must on any trip to Tallinn

Before the visit to Vyshgorod it will be useful a little acquaintance with the history of this old port city. History of the merchants and nobles relations will help to understand the geography. Do not forget to visit all five viewing platforms, it will give extra color to your impressions

Not too much to visit here, apart from the churches - only a couple of bars. But a nice walk on the cobbled streets, and a couple of great viewpoints to look out over the old city. Suggest you extend the walk round the walls and visit the museum in the large tower.

There are several viewing points to see over Tallinn. Toompea Hill offers fabulous views and it is easy to go to each of the viewing points - short distance between each. The walk to the Hill is amazing as you weave through cobbled streets with quaint shops on each side. Fantastic.

This is a bit of a walk up the hill - slippery in snow - but the beautiful orthodox cathedral, Parliament House, embassies and the panoramic view the f the old city is worth it. We did it just on dusk the first time then in the rain at night and finally in the snow. All gorgeous. Don't miss the... More

Wonderful architecture, constantly changing round every corner, beautiful old buildings, woods, parks, and beautiful views of the old town well below. You can walk around for a long time, just marvelling at the vistas. A must see if you are in Tallinn.

I went here as part of a free tour group guided by an interesting, fascinating young woman who told us Tallinn's history in the most interesting ways. Lots to see & many photo opportunities looking down on the town. Steve the seagull greeted us. Terrific video opportunity with Steve starring!
