I wrote about this street a couple of years ago under the frame of Old Town, but I would like all of you to pay attention to this very special place. Thus, I added it as a new place and I hope, it will be from now in TripAdvisor and you can enjoy it.
Usually, tourists go to the upper Old Town (Toompea) by Pikk Jalg (Long leg) street. It's easy, it's beautiful, it's interesting and everybody knows it. But when you go back to the lower Old Town, take another street - Lühike Jalg (Short leg). Enter it via a very old wood gate just in front of Pikajala Cafe at the upper end of Pikk Jalg street. In ten minutes you will find yourself on the Town Hall Square. It is very narrow and small street with steps instead of sidewalk. There are cute cafes, galleries and shops, but if you do not just look under your feet, you'll see also an ancient tower and old buildings. After you enter this street from this old gate and if you have some time, you might enter very interesting place - Danish King's Garden (Taani Kuninga Aed). Do not miss it!

The steep 'Short Leg' street is located between Rataskaevu Street and Pikk Jalg (Long Leg) in the Old Town.
This atmospheric pedestrian street has been connecting the upper town (Toompea) and the lower town since the 14th century.
