This is a nice terminal with adequate services.
However, we were expecting taxis to be much more in abundance here.

Tallinn port was by far the most attractive of all our destinations on our Baltic cruise. There is an area that has a number of vendors selling souveniers. Most important it is one of the few ports that has free wifi. the only drawback of this location its a long walk from here to Old town without a lot of public transportation visble

Tallin is a beautiful port city. It was more than I expected it to be. The old city is well preserved & walkable. If you need someone to push your wheel chair, then for the one pushing, the hills will probably be challenging.

A step back in time. A fabulous almost perfect old city where sitting in the main square with a beer and watching the world go by is the best thing to do. The gardens near the Russian Orthodox Church are eerily beautiful with monks statues almost floating around. The flowers market at the old city entrance is a riot of colour and the streets leading up to the cathedral and parliament building are full of interesting shops. An almost too perfect place to visit but simply beautiful.

This is where the cruise ships dock, as well as our ship from Stockholm which was more like a ferry. They are set up for arrivals and processed us fast. And we were on our way.

This is where we arrived as we were on a ship from Sweden. The terminal processed us quickly and efficiently and we were on our way to our hotel and the city. Good experience.

Our cruise ship berthed for the day in the port of Tallinn. When we disembarked, we found the small cruise ship terminal building and the adjacent pop-up market area were already full with passengers from our cruise ship and another visiting cruise ship.
As a result, we only had a quick look at the market stalls to get some idea of their souvenir prices before heading off to Tallinn’s old town.
After spending the day in the old town and visiting a number of souvenir shops there, we headed back to the port. Our observations had been that the prices charged for souvenirs in the old town were about the same as those charged at the cruise port pop-up market.
Consequently, we had purchased some items at the old town shops knowing that if we wanted to buy more, we would not be disadvantaged in terms of price, if we bought more at the port.
Back at the port, we concentrated our shopping activities in the outdoor market area. We spent about 30 minutes shopping there before returning to our ship. On the way to the ship, we passed through the small terminal building which was still crowded. Some people were enjoying drinks and coffees from the cafe located there while others were purchasing souvenirs from the stalls situated inside this building.
Obviously the cruise port area is very busy when cruise ships are in port. One would guess that the area would be less busy when the port is only being used by passenger ferry ships.

The cruise port is the gateway for many travellers arriving and leaving Tallinn. The cruise port can handle multiple ships simultaneously, and the dock area is large. There is a souvenir shop with a good variety of trinkets, alcohol and clothes, and a foreign exchange service. A chance to stock up before going onboard.

We came in on a cruise ship. There is not much around the docking area, except for a few merchant shops. We walked into Old Town. The walk was fairly easy but we did have to walk along unpaved paths and across some well traveled streets. Overall, the port was in a good location relative to Old Town.
