Fine view over the city. Easy to appreciate its strategic significance. Be a bit careful when walking on the stoned path.

It was very disapppointng to find that the funicular was closed for a long period and no fixed date for the reopening of it. To get to the top you had to walk up a very stony uneven path on the back side of the...More

Castle Hill looks nice from a distance and I wanted to go inside and see the views but the funicular wasn't working so I couldn't get there with a bad knee

Walking up the cobblestone trail to the tower is steep and taxing but the view from the top is great, you can have a first hand look at the river and the town. Worth the effort!

It's worth the walk to the top of the cobbled stone road or you can pay 1 euro for the funicular. Great views of Old Town and the city from up top even if you don't pay to climb the tower.

As people have mentioned, the funicular is not working as of July 2017. But really, it is a short climb, though the rough cobbles could have been made to be easier on the feet. Good view over the town, trying to work out the various...More
