10 July, 2017. The House of Signatories is a small museum, which is an old structure, but houses an important recent artifact, the first Lithuanian declaration of independence (of 1918, and the signatories refer to the original 20 signatories of the document). This lies on...More

Sadly, it is not possible to visit the museum inside the Signatory House: the announcement says that it is connected with major changes in the exposition (this as of July, 2017). Maybe it is because this year finally the original of presumably lost Act of...More

Quite a small museum with an interesting display of items. What really makes it special is the guide. She was fantastic!

This is a beautiful building with lovely Lithuanian architecture. The House of Signatories is right down on Plines Street, which is highly touristic, so it's easy to find.

At a cost of one dollar you are taken round the rooms were the signatures of independence were signed and given a detailed history of the plight of Lithuainia in the 20th century by your own guide. Best museum I have been in in years.

It cost €3 (student price) to go in and it included a private tour. Whilst the inside was ok, it was improved tenfold due to the tour. She explained a lot about the history of Vilnius and Lithuania which set the context for a lot...More
